Our Community

Our Community

Our location in Saint Philip Parish allows us to participate in the local church community as well as in the Noe Valley neighborhood.  Siblings from Saint Philip's Elementary School stop by on a regular basis, and we receive donations from Saint Philip Parish seniors.  We also welcome visits from preschool parents to talk about their work and to share crafts and home traditions.  We enjoy simple birthday celebrations with small treats for each child, and parents are also invited into the school for holiday celebrations and other preschool events.  Specialists conduct regular music, yoga and gymnastics classes for our children and we take walking field trips to the park, to the library and other places of interest in the neighborhood.

Parent Partnership

Preschool children thrive when parents and teachers work together to create a community of support for them.  Our teachers keep in touch with families through daily face to face interactions, phone calls and regular parent conferences.  Our email list keeps parents in formed about group activities for children and families.  We offer a variety of choices for parents who wish to contribute their skills to our program.  We welcome parent involvement in the classroom, on field trips and at community fundraising events.
